So you thought ‘Mad March’ was over? Maybe you’re feeling those heavy post-festival season blues? Have you heard people making silly remarks about nothing happening in Adelaide for another year?

Fear not my friends! East End Wine Down is back. After last years sell-out event, this Saturday, East End Cellars will once again be turning Vardon Avenue in the city into a wine tasting wonderland.

What’s better than good wine? Wine made by passionate people with strong environmental and moral ethics. Meet Michael and Alisa Hart of Hart of the Barossa, the oldest certified organic vineyard in the Barossa Valley.

One of the highlights whilst gallivanting through the Barossa Gourmet Weekend was an up close and personal wine tasting experience with the Hart’s for their event – Shiraz Flights with Barossa Bites.

OK, so I was pretty boozy the first time I went to Ancient World. A friend had told me about this magical underground wonderland of cheap beers and rad music, tucked down an alleyway behind Hindley Street.

For anyone who may follow me on the social medias, you will most likely be familiar with a recent flurry of images and hashtags referencing The Fruitful Pursuit.

For the last six months or so I’ve been part of an ever growing group of fun-loving folk with a passion for South Australian wine.

If you live in Adelaide, chances are you’ve been on a wine tour in one or more of our wonderful regions. Really, we’re spoiled for choice.

Fun is the name of the game at Austin & Austin, ‘game’ being the operative word in that sentence.

Located just a stones throw from the east end and universities, Austin & Austin is one of Adelaide’s latest offerings for a daytime coffee spot and night time bar. Opening up just before Christmas, owners George and Simon (formally of The Palais at Semaphore) bring a wealth of hospitality knowledge to their new city venture.

I’m a big fan of alliteration as well as a good acronym, so when I first saw ‘F.S.S.L.S.C’ pop up on the social medias, I was instantly intrigued.

This weekend Adelaide City Beach has been transformed into the Frome Street Surf Life Saving Club, a 4 night pop-up outdoor cinema hosting the Shorts Film Festival for 2014.

Now, before you read on. Chuck on some Bob Marley – Could You Be Loved and allow me to set the scene…

I have a confession to make.

Look, it’s not something I’m proud of and I’m fully prepared to feel the weight of your judging eyes upon me.

It took me 6 months to try Little NNQ on Gouger Street….
