Caffe Paparazzi is much more than a traditional Italian cafe. Yes, by all means you can still get your pizza, pasta and salt & pepper squid, but what sets Paparazzi apart from the rest is the recent launch of their new clean eating menu.

You’ve just knocked off work or you’re just finishing up dinner, what’s next? When you’re looking for a night out in Adelaide, the conversation of east end versus west end will inevitably pop up at some point. Do you stay one end of town? Or migrate to the other.

RYO’S NOODLES

Head west along Gouger street, get to Krispy Kreme and keep walking (no seriously, keep walking). In a few steps you’ll come across a set of red curtains billowing out from a doorway onto the street. Whatever is hiding behind you may be wondering? Ah, the mystery! Oh, the intrigue!

This time of year it may be hard to draw yourself away from the Fringe related venues. However, if you’re looking for somewhere to avoid the insanity and the crowds that come with the festive season, head no further than Kenny Wang’s.

Pickles have come a long way since the days of being flung out the car window upon leaving the McDonalds drive-thru, or being one of the unloved finger sandwich options at Grandma’s afternoon tea.

Fun is the name of the game at Austin & Austin, ‘game’ being the operative word in that sentence.

Located just a stones throw from the east end and universities, Austin & Austin is one of Adelaide’s latest offerings for a daytime coffee spot and night time bar. Opening up just before Christmas, owners George and Simon (formally of The Palais at Semaphore) bring a wealth of hospitality knowledge to their new city venture.

(Please note: I have no idea what the translation of that is, it just sounds fun)

Anyone who knows me will know about my love for the Adelaide Central Market. My parents used to take me on a regular basis since before I could walk or talk. I have fond childhood memories of the ginger beer from The Old Lolly Shop, having my face painted and scoring a balloon animal from the dude in the elephant suit (which… may I add, is still kicking around – I’m 28, I have no idea how old that suit is…)

In adulthood and being a city dweller my Market experience is now more about the produce. One of my favourite things to do in the whole wide world is to grab my wheelie trolley, pop in my headphones and wander around. Up and down the aisles I go, always spending far more money than I intended.

f i s s l e – l i s k ?

I’m a big fan of alliteration as well as a good acronym, so when I first saw ‘F.S.S.L.S.C’ pop up on the social medias, I was instantly intrigued.

This weekend Adelaide City Beach has been transformed into the Frome Street Surf Life Saving Club, a 4 night pop-up outdoor cinema hosting the Shorts Film Festival for 2014.

Now, before you read on. Chuck on some Bob Marley – Could You Be Loved and allow me to set the scene…

I have a confession to make.

Look, it’s not something I’m proud of and I’m fully prepared to feel the weight of your judging eyes upon me.

It took me 6 months to try Little NNQ on Gouger Street….

w i n e  c o.

What do you get when you combine the following…

– A day-time garage coffee shop turned night-time venue.

– A DJ spinning funk tunes.

– A live band playing neo-soul.

– A bunch of cool kids and wine aficionados.

– South Australian craft beer.

– Local Riverland wine with a bad-ass name.

You get a riot, a Wine Riot to be precise.
