Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last couple of years, you would have heard about the mobile ‘dating’ app, Tinder. Perhaps you’ve used it yourself? You probably know someone who has. Marketed by it’s creators as the ‘worlds most popular app’, it brings singles together based on location and age, then shows any mutual (Facebook based) interests and friends hoping to result in a real life connection. Well that’s the idea anyway.

(Please note: I have no idea what the translation of that is, it just sounds fun)
Anyone who knows me will know about my love for the Adelaide Central Market. My parents used to take me on a regular basis since before I could walk or talk. I have fond childhood memories of the ginger beer from The Old Lolly Shop, having my face painted and scoring a balloon animal from the dude in the elephant suit (which… may I add, is still kicking around – I’m 28, I have no idea how old that suit is…)
In adulthood and being a city dweller my Market experience is now more about the produce. One of my favourite things to do in the whole wide world is to grab my wheelie trolley, pop in my headphones and wander around. Up and down the aisles I go, always spending far more money than I intended.

It’s totally a thing right?
Thank God It’s Friday.
I think Wednesday Winesday is a perfect way to break up the horror that is hump day for us nine-til-fiver folk.
